Office Space: Silver tsunami will soon hit

America’s population is aging. It is no secret and it’s happening at a rapid rate.
People older than 65 will represent approximately 20 percent of our population by 2050. This tidal wave of people turning 65 is referred to in the financial marketplace as the silver tsunami.
The aging U.S. population will put increased pressure on the health care system. According to “Medicare & You 2014,” published in September 2013 by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, 7 in 10 Americans 65 and older will need long-term care at some point.
