READING, PA — June 18, 2020 — Aelish Brooks, Chief Financial Officer and Director of Human Resources for Good Life Companies, was named one of Philadelphia Business Journal 2020 CFO of the Year Award winners on June 11, 2020.
The prestigious CFO of the Year Awards are presented annually to financial professionals in Greater Philadelphia for outstanding performance in their roles as corporate financial stewards. The 2020 winners were assessed and selected based on criteria including demonstrated contributions to the company’s growth and/or profitability, tenure and scope of responsibilities, leadership, success in overcoming business challenges, respect and influence within the company, and community involvement. For chief financial officers at companies across the region, the coronavirus pandemic poses the biggest challenge of their careers and these executives have helped their companies navigate and survive.
“I am very honored to be selected as one of the Philadelphia Business Journal 2020 CFO of the Year Award winners,” said Brooks. “To be recognized by the Philadelphia Business Journal as a member of this amazing group of successful businesspeople is humbling. As the Chief Financial Officer and Director of Human Resources for Good Life Companies, I have had the opportunity to help the company grow from four companies to twelve companies and spearhead the planning, development and implementation of a 3 million dollar building project for our financial and physical wellness national headquarters.”
“Since joining Good Life Companies as one of the first hires in a company of four at the time, Brooks has grown into a core leader in the organization,” said Conor Delaney, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Good Life Companies. “In her time as Chief Financial Officer and Director of Human Resources, she has helped the company’s growth amassing revenues from 1.1 million at its start to a forecast of 25 million this year. She prides herself on being a contributor to the firm’s overall strategy and for helping Good Life continue to create jobs in middle America. She is an invaluable team member.”
